Puzzle

Here is my most recent writing.

“Puzzle”

Most of the puzzle has been pieced together.
The outer edge forming the frame of support.
The inner rows forming the character of the picture.
Missing is what makes the puzzle complete.
A few pieces can cause the entire puzzle to fail.
Those few pieces take a beautiful thing and cause it to look distorted.
Soon, everyone including the puzzle stop caring.
They stop looking for the last pieces.
Instead, waiting for those pieces to come to them.
Eventually the puzzle is forgotten.
Left on a cold table in some dusty room down the hall.
